The consumption of organic products -Natural or biological
The concept of biological does not seem very clear for many consumers. According to the study of graph, conducted in 1997 on the current market and potential for organic products in Quebec, a consumer of organic products on two knows no different organic certifications on the Quebec market. Most consumers know that organic products are free food residues of insecticides, herbicides and chemical fertilizers, but many also believe that these are products with fiber products without salt and fat. Some also defined as natural products. However, the term natural has no clear definition and its meaning varies from one manufacturer to another. "Naturally, it does say anything more, said France Gravel, president of Guarantee Bio. Before, it meant that it was tampered least, it did not contain any additives, but it became anything over time. Maple syrup, for example, one could say that it is natural. It comes from a tree. But when producers use formaldehyde pellets to prevent cuts to heal too quickly, is it natural? In any case, this is not considered organic. Same thing for honey. This is done by bees. But we must see how it deals with bees. The honey is not considered organic if producers use antibiotics for example. Of course we can not control air quality and pollution. It does not live in a bubble. But in certifying a biological product, it ensures that the production was made without using chemicals, medicines and conditions for healthy animals.
