Diseases of the mouth: canker sores

Diseases of the mouth: canker sores, candidiasis, herpes … diseases of the mouth are very numerous and their causes are multiple. Those who reach the lining of the mouth (gums and membranes that line the mouth at the lips, cheeks, tongue) are diseases whose emergence and development are conditioned by the presence of local factors and general.
Viral diseases
Diseases such as measles, rubella, or infectious mononucleosis mumps can be characterized by the presence in the mouth of small lesions very discreet that often go unnoticed. Others such as canker sores, herpes, chicken pox and shingles lesions lead to more visible, sometimes painful for some and thus more debilitating for the individual.
Canker sores
These are small painful ulcers preferably sitting on the lips, gums, cheek (inside), language.
Origin
Even if their causes are still unknown, their appearance is often simultaneous with the taking of certain foods (nuts, raisins, almonds) or the occurrence of certain digestive disorders or linked to events such as physiological pregnancy or menstrual cycle.
Treatment
When these lesions are very painful, the dentist may need to use or prescribe the application of an anesthetic contact (gel or cream), even when those injuries are disabling (embarrassing speech and / or food), to cauterize with an acid. If such lesions superinfection, the dentist will have to prescribe local antiseptics (mouth) and antibiotics.
